Don’t read if you like “Jim” Moriarty from BBC’s Sherlock

Let’s be unpopular together. I still cannot fathom why the fuck anyone thinks “shrieky twat”=”awesome villain”. No, it’s just an annoying shrieky twat. Kind of how I felt with Simm!Master’s shriekiness, which just made him way less menacing. And I loathe it when the same writers slag off traditional stylish villains as some sort of moustache-twirling melodramatic hams, because that’s not fucking true. Those guys are awesome. It’s perfectly possible to write a menacing, cool villain, even these days, without resorting to that shrieky six-year-old crap. If you shriek like that at me, I will fucking *punch* you, not cower in fear at you.

Yup. You can unfollow me now, but god damn, Shriekiarty was the biggest telly disappointment I’d had since RTD Who finales. And at least with RTD I knew to be prepared for disappointments.

I try not to moan too much on here because I want to focus on fun and lols, but god damn. Now back to your regularly scheduled porn and cheap knob jokes.

  5. purloined-in-petrograd said: I like him because he is different from other adaptations. I do think that if a modern day Moriarty existed he would probably be a bored and incredibly immature little man like that. Jerrid Harris is probably my favorite Moriarty though…
